Rushdie slams regressive PC speech as ‘time of appeasement’

hayfestival-2016-salman-rushdie-1-cuIn an interview with Le Figaro magazine (France) author Salman Rushdie (Satanic Verses) slammed Western society’s embracement of politically correct speech in which today he “would be accused of Islamophobia and racism. People would say I had attacked a cultural minority.”

He also slams President Obama for not using “Islam” when referring to the numerous Islamic terror attacks throughout the world “as a mandated caution against offending Muslims and African-Americans, who often are attracted to Islam,”  (Le Figaro).
